( Daily Mail ) Donald Trump has touched down in Britain for his first official visit and has already brushed off mass protests by saying: ‘I think they like me a lot in the UK – they’re great people’.

The US President, 72, who will meet the Prime Minister and Queen during a four-day red carpet visit, landed at Stansted Airport on Air Force One at just before 2pm and walked off hand-in-hand with First Lady Melania.

America’s Commander-in-Chief has 1,000 of his own staff in the UK and a giant motorcade led by his bomb-proof Cadillac nicknamed ‘The Beast’ as well as multiple helicopters including Marine One to fly him around.

The President and his First Lady were met on the tarmac by US Ambassador Woody Johnson and UK Trade Secretary Liam Fox before he was whisked off to Mr Johnson’s house near Regent’s Park.

Tonight he will attend a gala dinner with US and UK business leaders at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire – the ancestral seat of Sir Winston Churchill.

Earlier today Mr Trump gave an extraordinary press conference in Brussels after giving NATO leaders a bruising over defence cash, where he wrote off protesters and said Theresa May’s Brexit deal probably wasn’t what Britons voted for.

When asked about the threat of mass demonstrations he said: ‘I think it’s fine. A lot of people like me there. I think they agree with me on immigration. I think that’s why Brexit happened’.

  • Scottish YouTuber Mark Meechan — better known as “Count Dankula” — was found guilty of the hate crime of being “Grossly Offensive” for teaching his girlfriend’s dog NAZI salutes

( Daily Caller  ) The United Kingdom is once again taking down serious threats to its national security.

This time, the UK brought to justice a comedian who taught his girlfriend’s dog how to do a Roman salute.

On Tuesday, Scottish YouTuber Mark Meechan — better known as “Count Dankula” — was found guilty of the hate crime of being “Grossly Offensive” for teaching a pug how to imitate the fascist gesture.

The stunt was not meant to promote fascism or white supremacy in any way and was merely a joke done to irritate Count Dankula’s girlfriedn. The court appeared unfazed by this argument, and found him guilty of a crime that could result in two months of jail-time.

Whether you find the joke offensive or not, it’s hard to argue how a sieg-heiling pug is a threat to anyone, especially when it was not meant as an endorsement of national socialism. This dog is not going to create a Woofen-SS division just because he can raise up his paw in return for a treat.

And Dankula is certainly not the first British citizen to play up the Nazis for laughs or apolitical shock.

Monty Python once had a skit where the crew dressed up as Nazis and threw up the salute for comedy. They were not arrested for such an act.

UPDATE! A man has been charged with rape after a 14-year-old girl was attacked twice on the same night in Birmingham.

Girl, 15, ‘raped in rail station suffers second attack after flagging down man for help’

By The Telegraph, July 27, 2017:

A double manhunt is under way after a 15-year-old girl was raped by two different attackers, including a man she flagged down for help, police said.

Detectives said the teenager was first assaulted in a secluded part of Birmingham’s Witton railway station, near the Aston Villa football ground, some time between 7pm on Tuesday and 2am the following morning.

The victim had walked to the station with her friend, but is said to have been led away by a man who approached her.

Shortly after that attack, the girl walked out of the station and flagged down a passing vehicle to ask for help, police said. However, after getting in the car she was then raped a second time by another man, investigators said.

“This was a horrifying ordeal for this young girl and we have specially trained officers supporting her”Det Ch Insp Tony Fitzpatrick, British Transport Police

( Express.co.uk ) Around 3,500 suspected terrorists in UK – but powers to monitor used LESS than in 2015

THE number of potential terrorists being watched in the UK has swelled to nearly 3,500 – but our security services are using powers to monitor them LESS than they did a year ago, Express.co.uk can reveal.

The around 3,000 potential terrorists monitored since 2015 has grown after the return of UK-born people who left to fight with ISIS.

Around 400 ISIS-trained fighters are believed to have returned from war zones in Syria and Iraq.

Despite being on red alert for more attacks on home soil like today’s carnage in Westminster, new statistics show the number of arrests, stop and searches, and examinations of suspected terrorists at ports and airports dropped in 2016 on the levels seen in 2015.

This comes at the same time that the number of people arrested on suspicion of plotting terror strikes on British soil has grown by eight per cent.
