( RT ) Two topless FEMEN activists disrupted a Muslim conference taking place in Pontoise northwest of Paris. Jumping up onto the stage and forcing two imams to leave, they briefly shouted slogans until security dragged them off.

“Nobody makes me submit,” said the message painted on the breasts of the unnamed women.

The video also shows a man kicking one of the activists as she is lying on the floor.

FEMEN was founded in Ukraine in 2008 and is now based in Paris. The organization is known for its extravagant and controversial topless protests. They describe their ideology with three –isms: sextremism (female sexuality against patriarchy), atheism, and feminism.

The group has conducted a number of naked attacks in different countries, including Ukraine, France, Sweden, and even Tunisia.

The Trumps and the Macrons dine at the Eiffel Tower

( Daily Mail ) President Donald Trump took his wife Melania out on the town Thursday evening in Paris, making the most of their brief stay in the City of Lights with a dinner at the Eiffel Tower.

The Trumps are dining tonight at Le Jules Verne, on the second floor of the famous French monument. They’re the guests of Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron, the first lady and president of France.

Donald Trump seated himself next to Brigitte Macron, with whom he’d shared an uncomfortable handshake with earlier in the day that lingered on a little too long -and in which she appeared to be trying to get him to let go.

He’d also told France’s 64-year-old first lady in remarks that were caught on tape: ‘You know, you’re in such good shape.’

The compliment was made in front of her husband, the 39-year-old French president, and Trump, 71, repeated it to him before turning back to Mme Macron and saying to her: ‘Beautiful.’

A French official Facebook live stream captured the interaction. What was not caught was Melania Trump’s reaction, as her back was to the camera.

However, the American first lady, 47,  seemed to move closer to Mme Macron and put her hand around her protectively as Trump spoke to her.

The awkward exchange came after Macron her husband welcomed Donald and Melania to Paris on the eve of Bastille Day.

Trump kissed Mme Macron Parisian-style, once on each cheek, before taking both her hands for a prolonged grip, in which he appeared to jerk her left arm towards him as she appeared to be struggling to get him to let go.

It was an off-script start to a carefully-choreographed visit to Paris which on Friday will see Trump and Macron together for the Bastille Day celebrations, as well the couple dining together on Thursday evening at the Eiffel Tower.

Macron's wife gets government role after election win

Emmanuel Macron’s wife, Brigitte Trogneux, is 24 years Macron’s senior. The 64-year-old First Lady of France met Macron when he was a 15-year-old high school student and she was his drama teacher. The grandmother of eight divorced her banker husband when Macron was 18 and then moved to Paris to be with him. In 2007, they got married.

From Daily Mail:

The unconventional romance started after the pair met when Mr Macron starred in one of Mrs Trogneux’s plays at Jesuit school Lycee La Providence in Amiens, northern France.

They also went on to re-write a play together, which they later admitted was the period when they fell in love. At the time, Mr Macron was just 16.

In an interview with French journalist Anne Fulda, who wrote a book about the politician said: ‘You know, the day we wrote that piece together, I had the impression I was working with Mozart.’

Speaking to French magazine Paris Match, she said: ‘I could feel I was falling, he was too…’, before adding: ‘At 17, Emmanuel told me: “Whatever you do, I will marry you!” Love took everything in its passage and lead me to divorce. It was impossible to resist him.’

From yahoo:

Then known as Brigitte Auziere, she was married with three children and teaching French literature and drama when she encountered Macron, then just 15 years old. They bonded writing a play together, but when Macron told his parents of his interest, they sent him away to school in Paris. The two kept up a correspondence, and by the time Macron was 18, Trogneux had divorced her husband and moved to Paris to be with him. They were married in 2007.

“Nobody will ever know at what moment our story became a love story. That belongs to us. That is our secret,” Trogneux said of the origin of their relationship.

Photo published for How France Voted

Paris (AFP) – A third of French voters declined to choose between centrist Emmanuel Macron and far-right leader Marine Le Pen in Sunday’s presidential election, either abstaining or spoiling their ballots — a record rate in nearly half a century.

According to official results with more than 80 percent of votes counted, the abstention rate stood at 24.52 percent — the highest since the presidential election in 1969.

In addition, the interior ministry reported a record number of blank and invalid ballots, accounting for nine percent of all registered voters, compared to two percent in the first round.

“That would make a total of one French person out of three who decided not to choose between the two candidates. It’s really a lot for a presidential election,” Anne Jadot, political science professor at the University of Lorraine, told AFP.

Macron claimed a thumping victory Sunday with some 65 percent of the vote, but it was the first time since the 1969 election that participation in the second round has been lower than in the first, which saw him and Le Pen go through to the run-off as the highest-scoring candidates.

“The presence of the far-right in the second round did not prompt a lot of mobilisation compared to the first round, in contrast to what happened in 2002,” Jadot said in reference to the election where Le Pen’s father Jean-Marie saw voters of all stripes mobilise to block him by backing his opponent, conservative Jacques Chirac.

That election saw a dip in the abstention rate to 20.3 percent.

But this year, “there wasn’t the ‘shock’ effect, because (Marine Le Pen’s) presence was expected,” Jadot said.

Casting a blank ballot — traditionally used by disgruntled French voters as a protest vote — usually increases in the second round.

But this year it went as far as to quadruple, thanks in part to an unprecedented situation of neither the two mainstream left-leaning or right-leaning parties making it to the run-off.

( Gateway Pundit ) In a violent attack causing trepidation amongst Paris’ Jewish community, a 66-year-old Orthodox woman, Sarah Halimi, was murdered to the cry of ‘‘Allahu Akbar’’ early Tuesday morning, pushed from the window of her top-floor apartment in Paris’ 11th arrondissement.

The accused, a 27-year-old of Muslim origin known to police for a string of offenses, had broken into the apartment of his victim – reportedly scaling the exterior wall from the floor below where he lived with his parents – to stab his victim before throwing her to her death.

The lifeless body of Ms. Halimi was found on the ground beneath her apartment, having been pushed to her death from her third story window during the attack which took place at approximately 4:30am.

Three armed police were on the scene prior to the murder, according to neighbors, who also reported hearing the cry of ‘’Allahu Akbar’’ at the moment of the crime. Unconfirmed reports circulating on social media also suggest that Ms. Halimi had previously been harassed by a relative of the accused, and that she had been subjected to verbal abuse in the days leading up to the incident. Neighbors claim that the accused had been ”radicalized” and that police were waiting for an anti-terrorist unit to deal with the situation
