IMPOTENCY BEHIND COUPLE’S ARSON SPREE IN VIRGINIA: EX-FIREFIGHTER TORCHED 67 BUILDINGS TO PLEASE GIRLFRIEND

How bedroom issues led Virginia couple on arson spree

  • ‘The moment I fell in love with her, my d–k stopped working,’ Smith later told cops
  • ‘I want you to set that house on fire,’ Bundick told her boyfriend abruptly one November night in 2012, as the two were driving in their car, Hesse writes
  • The couple was convicted of torching 67 buildings

( Daily Mail ) The stunning sexual motivation behind a massive arson spree that rocked a rural community has been revealed.

The dark secret behind Charles Robert Smith III and girlfriend Tonya Susan Bundick’s 2012 arson rampage across Accomack County, Virginia was revealed last month in a new book by Washington Post reporter Monica Hesse.

In American Fire, Hesse traces the investigation that kept a community on edge, with firefighters sleeping in the station instead of going home, and police staking out abandoned buildings as blazes sprang up nearly every night.

At the end of the Smith and Bundick’s rampage, the couple was convicted of torching 67 buildings, but the question has always remained: why did they do it?

Smith, a former captain of the Tasley Volunteer Fire Department, was an auto mechanic with a history of drug troubles.

He met Bundick at Shucker’s Roadhouse, about the only nightlife option in the community on the Delmarva Peninsula jutting between the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean.

Money was tight for the couple, as Bundick tried to open a boutique clothing shop and Smith opened an auto body shop.

‘They were broke, they were isolated from their families,’ Hesse writes. ‘They were low on work, and they were going to the Food Lion and they were eating garbage.”

The pair were convicted of setting 67 fires in the coastal Virginia community over the course of 142 days, a reign of fire terror that paralyzed the residents with fear

But the trigger for the crime was a frustration of a more personal nature.

‘The moment I fell in love with her, my d–k stopped working,’ Smith later told cops.

The arson spree started out as a twisted attempt to satisfy his girlfriend, Smith later confessed.

‘I want you to set that house on fire,’ Bundick told her boyfriend abruptly one November night in 2012, as the two were driving in their car, Hesse writes.

Smith agreed, got out of the car and came back saying he’d done it, although he hadn’t actually gone through with setting the blaze.

But Bundick, seemingly excited by the idea of the fire, went back to check and found Smith hadn’t set the fire.

‘Never send a man to do a woman’s job,’ she said, according to Hesse.

The went back together and burned the house down together, launching a 142-day arson spree that terrorized the county.

DEADLY GREEN ENERGY: GRENFELL TOWER ‘GREEN ENERGY’ CLADDING MADE FIRE SPREAD QUICKLY

Posted on

  • Grenfell Tower  cladding, or exterior insulation, added in 2015 to comply with “green energy” requirements, allowed the fire to quickly engulf the building.
  • Grenfell Tower  installed a cheaper cladding made of “powder-coated aluminium panels that are usually filled with plastic insulation, which is flammable,”

From Daily Caller:

It’s unknown what sparked the Grenfell Tower fire Monday, but the exterior cladding, or exterior insulation, added in 2015 to comply with “green energy” requirements, allowed the fire to quickly engulf the building.

…The company operating Grenfell installed cladding in 2015 as part of a $12 million retrofit. The Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organization, which owns the building, installed a cheaper cladding made of “powder-coated aluminium panels that are usually filled with plastic insulation, which is flammable,” The Guardian reported.

…. Experts say that flames were able to engulf Grenfell Tower so quickly because a space between the cladding and the building created a chimney effect through which the fire rapidly spread upwards.

“I have never seen a fire that has engulfed an entire building like this in a career of more than 30 years,” Matt Wrack, who heads the Fire Brigades Union, told The Telegraph.

“It could be that this is the quest for sustainability trumping other concerns,” echoed Dr. Jim Glockling of the Fire Protection Association.

…The building owners planned on putting in fire barriers on each floor, but it’s not clear if they ever did, The Guardian reported.

Glockling told The Guardian that his own tests on the cladding found if the barriers had any breaches, by a pipe or other object, “a chimney effect may quickly develop that will cause the very rapid consumption of the insulation and expansion of the damage area.”

Donald Trump supporter's sign torched in New York

A Donald Trump fan who built a giant ‘T’ in his front yard in support of the Republican nominee says the people who set fire to it overnight should be charged with a hate crime.

Sam Pirozzolo, from Staten Island, New York, blamed ‘pro-Hillary thugs’ for torching his 12-foot high tribute to The Donald, which was painted in the colors of the American flag.

‘Pro Hillary Clinton thugs use gasoline to set fire to big Trump T on my lawn,’ Pirozzolo wrote on Facebook, while sharing an image of the sign on fire.
