Pathetic! Google’s featured WRONG result for the search “Ten Commandments” last Friday night and early Saturday morning making reference to “The ten commandments mentioned in the Quran,” not the Bible.
Btw, Quran has NO Ten Commandments. It has Hadith – the alleged sayings of Muhammad compiled more than hundred years after his death.
After getting complaints, Google’s Featured Result for “Ten Commandments” has changed, and no longer refers only to the Quran.
Below is Featured result at the top of the Google search page:
What sets the Bible apart from ALL books in the world? Its pages of PROPHECIES. No other book exists throughout history of mankind but the Bible that dares to fill its pages with prophecies, with most already fulfilled while others still yet to come. Other religious books write about moral platitudes but don’t contain prophecies. Below are the Bible prophecies Jesus fulfilled – His birth, death and resurrection.
Genuine divine Bible prophecy
The crucifixion of Jesus: Predicted 500 years before He was born and before crucifixion exist and was used in the world as a form of capital punishment.
Prophecy is foretelling an event in such detail before it happens so as to necessarily require divine guidance. The Bible is a book containing hundreds of detailed prophecies. There are, for example, well over 60 distinct predictions in regard to our divine Saviour Jesus Christ. Here is a sample of just 10 prophecies that foretold the crucifixion of Christ. Not only were the predictions made 1000 years before Christ came from heaven to earth, but they were made over 500 years before crucifixion was first used anywhere in the world as a form of capital punishment! Crucifixion didn’t exist when the prophecies were made.
A scientist picked out 48 such prophecies and determined that the probability of one man randomly fulfilling them all is 1 in 10 to the exponent of 157. That is one followed by 157 zeros! Your chances of winning a typical lottery jackpot is about 1 in 108. (100,000,000) Yet, Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies!
Did Jesus Exist? Searching for Evidence Beyond the Bible
Tacitus—or more formally, Caius/Gaius (or Publius) Cornelius Tacitus (55/56–c. 118 C.E.)—was a Roman senator, orator and ethnographer, and arguably the best of Roman historians.
The other strong evidence that speaks directly about Jesus as a real person comes from Josephus, a Jewish priest who grew up as an aristocrat in first-century
Pliny the Younger, a Roman governor and friend of Tacitus, wrote about early Christian worship of Christ “as to a god.”
No pagans and Jews who opposed Christianity denied Jesus’ historicity or even questioned it…Jewish sources treated Jesus as a fully historical person … [T]he rabbis … used the real events of Jesus’ life against him”

Read Lawrence Mykytiuk’s article “Did Jesus Exist? Searching for Evidence Beyond the Bible” as it originally appeared in Biblical Archaeology Review, January/February 2015. The article was first republished in Bible History Daily in 2014.—Ed.
After two decades toiling in the quiet groves of academe, I published an article in BAR titled “Archaeology Confirms 50 Real People in the Bible.”a The enormous interest this article generated was a complete surprise to me. Nearly 40 websites in six languages, reflecting a wide spectrum of secular and religious orientations, linked to BAR’s supplementary web page.b Some even posted translations.I thought about following up with a similar article on people in the New Testament, but I soon realized that this would be so dominated by the question of Jesus’ existence that I needed to consider this question separately. This is that article:1
Did Jesus of Nazareth, who was called Christ, exist as a real human being, “the man Christ Jesus” according to 1 Timothy 2:5?
The sources normally discussed fall into three main categories: (1) classical (that is, Greco-Roman), (2) Jewish and (3) Christian. But when people ask whether it is possible to prove that Jesus of Nazareth actually existed, as John P. Meier pointed out decades ago, “The implication is that the Biblical evidence for Jesus is biased because it is encased in a theological text written by committed believers.2 What they really want to know is: Is there extra-Biblical evidence … for Jesus’ existence?”c
Therefore, this article will cover classical and Jewish writings almost exclusively.3
( Breitbart ) A Christian street preacher was locked up and charged with a hate crime for quoting from the Book of Genesis in response to a gay teenager’s questions on how God views homosexuals.
Gordon Larmour, 42, spent a night in custody and faced a six-month ordeal over the charges before they were finally thrown out in a hearing last month.
The father-of-one, who has been street preaching for seven years following his conversion to Christianity, was handing out leaflets in his home town of Irvine, Ayrshire, last June when a group of young men passed him, The Telegraph has reported.
He told the men: “Don’t forget Jesus loves you and He died for your sins.”
One asked Mr. Larmour, “What does your God say about homosexuals?” He responded by referring to the Book of Genesis, stating that God had created Adam and Eve to produce children.
The two men argued and Mr. Larmour claims that he was chased by the young man. However, it was he who was arrested and frogmarched to the police van before being held in police custody overnight, charged with threatening or abusive behaviour aggravated by prejudice relating to sexual orientation.
Breitbart: Donald Trump to Use Lincoln Bible for Inauguration Oath of Office –
President-elect Donald Trump will swear in as president on a Bible used by Abraham Lincoln during his first inauguration as president.
The Lincoln Bible is currently part of the Library of Congress collection and was used by Obama to swear in as president after the 2008 and 2012 elections. Only Obama and Lincoln have used that copy of the Bible to swear the oath of office.
“In his first inaugural address, President Lincoln appealed to the ‘better angels of our nature,’” said Presidential Inauguration Committee Chairman Tom Barrack. “As he takes the same oath of office 156 years later, President-elect Trump is humbled to place his hand on Bibles that hold special meaning both to his family and to our country.”
According to a statement from the Inauguration committee, Trump will also use his family Bible that was given to him by his mother after he graduated from Sunday Church Primary School at First Presbyterian Church in 1955.
An employee at Dollywood – the Dolly Parton-owned Tennessee theme park – shared an amazing discovery on Facebook Tuesday after severe wildfires tore through the Gatlinburg area.
The wildfires left at least four people dead and destroyed hundreds of homes and businesses.
Isaac McCord was cleaning up debris along with co-workers when he noticed a single, burned Bible page under a bench. Incredibly, the page included a verse from Joel 1:19 mentioning fire:
“O Lord to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field. The beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.”

PIGEON FORGE (WATE) – Dolly Parton’s The Dollywood Foundation announced Wednesday it would be giving $1,000 per month for six months to families who lost everything in the wildfires.
“It’s a very big dream at this scale, but I think you know Dolly is the chief of big dreams,” said Dollywood Foundation’s David Dotson.
Parton issued a statement on the foundation’s website saying she was starting the “My People Fund” to help provide a hand up to families affected by the fires.
We want to provide a hand up to those families who have lost everything in the fires. To aid in their recovery effort, the Dollywood Foundation will provide $1,000 a month to all of those families who lost their homes in the fires for six months so that they can get back on their feet.
The site also provided a donation link and said more information will be forthcoming on Friday. People from all over the country have donated to the fund. As of Friday, the fund has already raised more than $1 million.
“There was never a question if something should be done, but what should be done,” said Dotson. “The world is responding in a big way.”
Any family, whether they own or rent, whose primary residence was destroyed or is uninhabitable due to the wildfires is eligible for assistance. A pre-application is available at http://www.dollywoodfoundation.org. Completion is not required, but is encouraged to expedite the distribution process.
The first funds will be distributed from December 15-16 and December 19-20 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the CARE MORE Assistance Center at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge. One check per household per month will be issued. All recipients must show a photo ID and families can receive aid for up to six months. Anyone needing help with the application process should call 1-800-DOLLYWOOD.
