RUSSIA MOVING INTO LIBYA, MILITARY BASE IN BENGHAZI…THANKS, OBAMA!

Posted on Updated on

By Bill Gertz – – Wednesday, July 11, 2018 The Washington Times

U.S. intelligence agencies are closely monitoring Russian military activities in Libya for signs that Moscow may soon build a military base in the divided North African state.

Intelligence reports indicate that Russia is planning to expand its Syrian bases at Tartus and Hemeimeem to Libya.

The possible Russian move into Libya represents the most recent failure stemming from the policies of President Obama that backed Islamist rebels who overthrew and killed Libyan strongman Moammar Gadhafi in 2011.

Mr. Obama has said that the failure to prepare for the aftermath of the ouster of Gadhafi was the worst mistake of his presidency. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also came under fire for failing to provide security for Americans who were attacked and killed in Benghazi after Gadhafi’s fall.

The push for a Russian military presence in Libya is being led by retired Maj. Gen. Khalifah Haftar, whose militia forces, the Libyan National Army, control eastern Libya. Russian private military forces have been operating in eastern Libya since March 2017, including the RSB Group that has deployed several dozen armed mercenaries to join forces

News reports from Libya stated recently that the RSB Group mercenaries are engaged in advance work, scouting locations for a Russian military base in Tobruk or Benghazi.

DELUSIONAL! OBAMA CLAIMS HE HAD NO SCANDALS DURING HIS PRESIDENCY…REMEMBER BEGHAZI AND IRS?

Posted on

  • Obama: “There were mistakes. We’d screw up, but there wasn’t anything venal during eight years. I know that seems like a low bar, but you look at the presidency; that’s no small thing.”

Former President Barack Obama denied that his administration had any scandals that embarrassed him or his team.

It is unclear why Obama clarified that there were no scandals “that embarrassed us.”

“There were mistakes,” he admitted. “We’d screw up, but there wasn’t anything venal during eight years. I know that seems like a low bar, but you look at the presidency; that’s no small thing.”

Conservatives remember the Obama years differently, citing the Fast and Furious scandal, the IRS scandal, wiretapping journalists, the terror attacks in Benghazi, delivering pallets of cash to Iran, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s illegal use of a private email server for government emails.

Obama’s speech at MIT was strictly off the record, but Reason acquired the audio.

The former president also insisted there was not much drama either, thanks to his leadership and organization skills.

“Typically speaking, you didn’t hear about a whole lot of drama inside our White House, and that was also rare,” he said.

BENGHAZI IS BACK! JUDGE ORDERS STATE DEPT. TO CHECK NEVER BEEN SEARCHED GOVT. EMAILS OF HILLARY CLINTON’S AIDES

  • D.C. District Court Judge Amit Mehta ordered State Dept. to search government email accounts of Huma Abedin, Cheryl Mills and Jake Sullivan, Clinton’s top aides at the State Department, in response to a lawsuit filed by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch.
  • “[State] has not, however, searched the one records system over which it has always had control and that is almost certain to contain some responsive records: the state.gov email server.”

From Daily Caller:

The search for State Department emails regarding the Sept. 11, 2012 Benghazi attacks received a boost this week when a federal judge ordered the agency to search the government email accounts of several Hillary Clinton aides.

Washington D.C. District Court Judge Amit Mehta, an Obama appointee, ordered State to search the accounts of Huma Abedin, Cheryl Mills and Jake Sullivan, Clinton’s top aides at the State Department, in response to a lawsuit filed by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch.

Mehta said that the State Department did not do enough to search for all emails it has on its computer systems regarding the Benghazi attacks, which left four Americans dead.

The State Department reviewed the 30,000-plus emails that Clinton returned to the agency in Dec. 2014. It has also searched emails that Abedin, Mills and Sullivan sent and received on personal accounts.

“Secretary Clinton used a private email server, located in her home, to transmit and receive work-related communications during her tenure as Secretary of State,” Mehta said

“[State] has not, however, searched the one records system over which it has always had control and that is almost certain to contain some responsive records: the state.gov email server.”

Mehta said that the State Department “has offered no assurance” that the records it has received so far from Clinton and the trio of aides “constitute the entirely of Secretary Clinton’s emails during the time period relevant to Plaintiff’s FOIA request.”

Judicial Watch, which has pursued several lawsuits related to Clinton emails despite her election loss, celebrated Mehta’s order.

JUDGE: RELEASE BENGAHZI EMAILS, PHONE RECORDS BETWEEN BARACK OBAMA AND HILLARY CLINTON RELATED TO THE TERROR ATTACK

Posted on Updated on

Washington D.C. – Watchdog group, Judicial Watch announced today that U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson has ordered the U.S. Department of State to turn over to Judicial Watch “eight identical paragraphs” of previously redacted material in two September 13, 2012, Hillary Clinton emails regarding phone calls made by President Barack Obama to Egyptian and Libyan leaders immediately following the terrorist attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

Via Judicial Watch:

Judicial Watch today announced that U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson has ordered the U.S. Department of State to turn over to Judicial Watch “eight identical paragraphs” of previously redact material in two September 13, 2012, Hillary Clinton emails regarding phone calls made by President Barack Obama to Egyptian and Libyan leaders immediately following the terrorist attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.  Both emails had the subject line “Quick Summary of POTUS Calls to Presidents of Libya and Egypt” and were among the emails stored on Clinton’s unofficial email server.  Judge Jackson reviewed the documents directly and rejected the government’s contention that the records had been properly withheld under the FOIA B(5) “deliberative process” exemption.

Judge Jackson ruled:  “the two records, even if just barely predecisional, are not deliberative. [The State Department] has pointed to very little to support its characterization of these two records as deliberative, and the Court’s in camera review of the documents reveals that they do not fall within that category.”

YOUNG REPUBLICAN USES HILLARY’S BENGHAZI LINE WHEN ASKED ABOUT TRUMP’S TAX RETURNS: ‘WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?’

From Red Alert Politics :

In the wake of nationwide protests from liberals demanding that President Trump release his tax returns, a young Republican named Jeff Halm took it upon himself to troll his local CBS News affiliate when he was reached for comment.

“I wanted something that conveyed my disdain for the line of questioning,” Halm told Red Alert Politics in an email. “I wanted to push a little to see if they knew I was messing with them.”

Halm, who is president of the Chicago Young Republicans (CYR; a chapter of the Young Republican National Federation), is a regular guest of CBS 2 for giving the conservative perspective on politics. When they tried to get a reaction from him on the Trump tax protests, Halm lifted a line directly out of Hillary Clinton’s playbook and said, ” What difference at this point does it make?”“

Halm posted the video to Twitter writing that the reporter had no idea he used a Hillary quote.

Hillary infamously said this line during a House Oversight Committee hearing in May 2013 to testify about her role in the 2012 Benghazi attack that left four Americans dead, including US Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens.

DEVIN NUNES STEPS ASIDE AS ‘BENGHAZI GUY’ TREY GOWDY TAKES OVER RUSSIA PROBE, DEMS UNHAPPY

  • The Benghazi guy is taking over, so that’s not necessarily something that Democrats will appreciate that much.”

( Daily Caller ) While discussing House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes’ recusal from the Russia probe on MSNBC Thursday, Zerlina Maxwell cast doubt over Trey Gowdy’s ability to conduct the investigation in a “completely transparent,” bipartisan fashion.

Gowdy, along with Mike Conaway and Thomas Rooney, were announced Thursday morning as the three committee members now heading the probe, to which guest Kristin Tate said she was “happy to hear.”

“The Benghazi guy,” Maxwell, who previously served as Hillary Clinton’s director of progressive media, incredulously responded to Tate. “The Benghazi guy is taking over, so that’s not necessarily something that Democrats will appreciate that much.”
