During the Trumps’ stop in Israel, first lady of Israel Nechama Rivlin spent time with Melania, whom she called ‘ A charming woman inside and out, sensitive and special’ , and surprised the First Lady with a touching gift intended for Melania’s 11-year-old only son, Barron.
The gift was a book called “The Hug.”
According to descriptions, the book illustrates a mother and son, alone on a walk. Her boy is named Ben. The son is worried that he is alone in the world because he is “special,” but his mother reassures him with a hug.
According to a review from the Jewish Book Council:
Poetically translated from the original Hebrew, we follow young Ben and his mother as they walk through a field one afternoon talking about what makes Ben so very special. If you are unique and special, are you all alone in the world, asks Ben, with a quiet but deep concern. But his mother knows, as mothers often do, how to reassure her child that being one of a kind need never mean being all on your own.
Posting on Facebook, the Israeli First Lady said, ‘It was important for me to give the Barron, who remained at home and is only 11 years old, a souvenir from his parents’ visit to Israel.
She continued, saying Melania was moved and immediately understood that the book was intended for her and Barron. The full comments, posted in Hebrew and translated by Google, are below:
Hi everyone, here is Nechama,
Thank you very much for the warm words from yesterday. You were very excited and excited.
It was a special day for all of us, and of course for Ruby and me too.
In the hustle and bustle of this important and historic visit, I also got to know the first lady from Melania. A charming woman inside and out, sensitive and special.
While we were together, I brought her a gift that I bought for their son, 11-year-old Baron, the charming book “Hug” written by David Grossman and Ira Michal Rovner, in three copies: Hebrew, Arabic and English.
It was important for me to give the Baron, who remained at home and is only 11 years old, a souvenir from his parents’ visit to Israel. There is no suitable number so beautiful, that tells about love by embracing. A book for children, but one that also concerns adults.
Melania was very moved, and immediately understood, even before reading her contents, that this was a story about a mother and child.
I very much hope that Baron will like the book as much as I do.
It was great to sit with her, and with the wonderful Ivanka who joined us, and to talk, among other things, of bringing together strangers who, if they were interested in each other, might have been less afraid of getting closer.
Yours (and thanks again)
The New York Post reported:
We’re told that about 80 kids from Barron’s Upper West Side school went to DC last Wednesday on a bus, accompanied by their teachers and Secret Service agents.
A source told us, “All the kids got dressed up: The girls were in dresses and the boys wore khaki pants and button-downs. It was so cute. They had a buffet lunch and a tour of the White House and met the president and the first lady, Melania Trump. President Trump gave them all a rousing speech about living up to your potential and being the best you could be for your country. Barron was really sweet. He was so excited to show his classmates around the White House.”
We’re told the group, along with Barron, 11, toured DC and stayed overnight at a hotel before returning to New York on Thursday.
In September, Barron will attend St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, Md., according to reports.
Barron Trump joined his parents on Monday at the Truman balcony for the White House Easter Egg Roll. The annual Easter Egg Roll is traditionally hosted by the first lady and dates back to the 1878. Some 21,000 people gathered at the White House for this year’s event.
Breitbart reported First Lady Melania and Barron will be moving into the White House this summer.

( Daily Mail ) Donald Trump’s youngest son Barron has been spotted running errands with his mother Melania in New York as the city entered its third day of protests over the president’s executive orders.
The ten-year-old wrapped up against the cold on Monday evening in a black down jacket, a red New Balance sneakers. Melania Trump looked glamorous in nude colored heels, and a knee length white coat.
The pair were flanked by four Secret Service vehicles as they made their way to their Park Avenue on the Upper East side.
#FREEMELANIA VIDEO CONTROVERSY: REAL OR DOCTORED? OR WAS TRUMP SAYING SOMETHING TO BARRON HIS MOM MELANIA DIDN’T LIKE
The #freemelania video controversy: In the video, Melania seen smiling at Trump during Friday’s inauguration ceremony, but the moment he looks away, the smile disappears into a much more somber scowl – which others labeled as ‘petrified’ look.
Is it real? Others said it’s doctored.
Then Snopes suggests, using different angle, Trump may have actually been speaking to a fidgeting Barron Trump, not Melania, making her lose her smile after hearing whatever TRump said.
According to Facebook, 11,000 people are currently talking about the hashtag #FreeMelania, with Facebook placing “
Melania Trump petrified” pre-filled in the search engine of the social media website. That’s because a widely circulated video showing Melania smiling as President Trump turned in her direction, but quickly losing Mrs. Trump’s smile when Mr. Trump turned away from Melania has people reading body language.
As reported by Snopes, some people on social media speculated that Mr. Trump may have said something to Melania to turn her smile into a frown. However, Mr. Trump may have actually been speaking to Barron Trump, who the publication said could be seen fidgeting and talking during the ceremony — as witnessed from a different vantage point of a video that appears on Snopes‘ page. The publication speculates that Mr. Trump may have admonished Barron, and such a tactic might have caused Melania to frown.
BARRON TRUMP HATER KATIE RICH SUSPENDED FROM SNL AFTER LIBTARD TWEET – ‘ BARRON WILL BE COUNTRY’S FIRT HOMESCHOO SHOOTER’…FYI: BARRON IS NOT HOMESCHOOLED!
( Daily Mail ) A Saturday Night Live writer who made a bad-taste joke about Barron Trump on Twitter has apologized for her ‘inexcusable’ actions after she was suspended from the show.
On Inauguration Day Katie Rich tweeted that the ten-year-old boy would become ‘this country’s first homeschool shooter,’ but deleted it three hours later.
She then came in for an avalanche of criticism from Twitter users, who branded her ‘scum’, called for her account to be blocked, and urged NBC to fire her.
Rich wasn’t fired, but she was suspended indefinitely from working on the show after the furor failed to cool down over the weekend, an insider told Deadline Monday.
The same day, she tweeted: ‘I sincerely apologize for the insensitive tweet. I deeply regret my actions & offensive words. It was inexcusable & I’m so sorry.’
