JESSE JACKSON: DEMOCRAT PARTY IS THE PARTY OF CONFEDERACY WITH CONFEDERATE FLAG AND ROOTS IN SLAVERY

  • Jesse Jackson: “There is no doubt that the Democratic Party is the party of the Confederacy, historically, that the Democratic Party’s flag is the Confederate flag.  It was our party’s flag.
  • Jackson: “That is so much of the Democratic Party’s history, our nation’s oldest political party, has its roots in slavery”

( Political Insider ) Columnist Mark Steyn weighed in on the Confederate flag debate, saying it’s absurd that the Republican party has been linked with the controversial relic because it’s actually a “Democrat flag.”

Mark Steyn ripped the Democrat party historically, saying they were “the largest and most powerful institution supporting slavery” and that they’ve “never come to terms with the evil of its past.”

“The idea that Republicans can have the Confederate flag hung around their necks is ridiculous,” Steyn stated. “It’s a Democrat flag. The states that seceded during the Civil War were all Democrat states, that’s their flag. The slave states were Democrat states, the racist states until the 1960’s were Democrat states.”

Here’s a flashback of the Democrat’s ownership of the Confederate flag provided by none other than Jesse Jackson Jr.  During an interview with Fox News contributor Angela McGlowan, Jackson stated:

“There is no doubt that the Democratic Party is the party of the Confederacy, historically, that the Democratic Party’s flag is the Confederate flag.  It was our party’s flag.  That Jefferson Davis was a Democrat, that Stonewall Jackson strongly identified with the Democratic Party, that secessionists in the South saw themselves as Democrats and were Democrats.  That is so much of the Democratic Party’s history, since it is our nation’s oldest political party, which has its roots in slavery.”

Jerome Hudson of Human Events wrote, “How did the same Jim Crow Democrats who fought tooth-and-nail with segregationists to keep blacks on a virtual plantation become the party that now wins 95% of the black vote?  Republicans passed Civil Rights laws, Democrats wrote revisionist history.”

That revisionist history continues with today’s Confederate flag debate.

DERANGED! BLACK CAUCUS DEMAND GOV. REMOVE ALL CONFEDERATE STATUES AND MISSISSIPPI FLAG FROM US CAPITOL

Posted on

The crazy left just added more Confederate statues to remove.

The Black Caucus called on the federal government to remove any Confederate related statues from the Capitol, including US Capitol Mississippi flag because it reminds them of slavery.

The Hill reported:

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus are reviving calls to remove Confederate statues from the Capitol following the violence at a white nationalist rally in Virginia…

… “We will never solve America’s race problem if we continue to honor traitors who fought against the United States in order to keep African-Americans in chains. By the way, thank god, they lost,” Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Cedric Richmond (D-La.) told ABC News.

However, a CBC aide told The Hill that the group is not currently working on any legislative efforts, like resolutions or letters, on Confederate statues in the Capitol.

Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.), the sole African-American member of the Mississippi delegation, had demanded his state flag not be displayed due to its inclusion of the Confederate battle flag.

Trump business advisory council to disband

  • President Donald Trump announced the end of two of his White House business councils on Wednesday, the manufacturing initiative and the Strategic and Policy Forum
  • Business council members said recent events at Charlottesville were serving as a distraction from what the initiative was created to do.

White House FOXBusiness

President Donald Trump announced the end of two of his White House councils on Wednesday, the manufacturing initiative and the Strategic and Policy Forum, following a host of resignations due to his handling of the white nationalist protests in Charlottesville, Virginia over the weekend.

Stephen Schwarzman, the chief executive of the Blackstone Group, organized a call for members of the Strategic and Policy Forum on Wednesday morning, according to The New York Times, where the group debated how it would proceed forward.

In a statement issued Wednesday, members said recent events were serving as a distraction from what the initiative was created to do.

“We believe the debate over Forum participation has become a distraction from our well-intentioned and sincere desire to aid vital policy discussions on how to improve the lives of everyday Americans,” members said in a statement. “As such, the President and we are disbanding the Forum.”

UNHINGED! Watch out for the left mental disorder metastasizing across the country.

From ABC News:

Leaders of a New York Episcopal diocese removed two plaques honoring Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee from a church property in Brooklyn on Wednesday.

The plaques were removed by the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island, which owns the property.

The larger of the two plaques was placed outside St. John’s Episcopal Church by the United Daughters of the Confederacy in 1912. It commemorated the spot where Lee is said to have planted a tree while serving in the Army at Fort Hamilton in New York in the 1840s, two decades before he became commander of the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia.

The plaque marked a tree that was a descendant of the one Lee is believed to have planted. A second plaque made note of that. Workers used power tools to remove them Wednesday

HOLLYWOOD CEMETERY TO REMOVE 1925 CONFEDERATE VETERANS MEMORIAL WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS…LIBNUTS!

Posted on

  • This week, Hollywood Forever was fielding as many as 60 calls and emails a day from people requesting the cemetery get rid of the monument, said Tyler Cassity, the cemetery’s president and co-owner

The Hollywood Forever Cemetery will remove a memorial to Confederate veterans buried at the site, thanks in part to threats of vandalism, as well as requests from activists, according to a Tuesday report in the Los Angeles Times.

The Timesnotes that the granite monument marking the burial site was already vandalized on Tuesday:

Since 1925, the 6-foot monument has stood in the Confederate section of the cemetery, where more than 30 Confederate veterans, along with their families, are buried. The monument will be taken to a storage site within the next 24 hours, cemetery officials said, but the grave markers will remain.

This week, Hollywood Forever was fielding as many as 60 calls and emails a day from people requesting the cemetery get rid of the monument, said Tyler Cassity, the cemetery’s president and co-owner. A Change.org petition calling for its removal drew more than 1,300 signatures.

On Tuesday, someone vandalized the granite boulder monument, Cassity said, using a black marker to write “No” across its bronze plaque.

The memorial is actually owned by the Long Beach chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. The cemetery director reached out to them, according to the Times, and they agreed to take the monument down.

The monument was largely unknown until the Timespublished an op-ed last week, “Los Angeles has a Confederate memorial problem.” The author actually argued for the memorial to remain, as a reminder that California did not escape the racial problems of the past: “This western memorial, however, will likely endure — as well it should. It serves as a needed corrective to a self-congratulatory strain in the stories Californians tell about themselves.”

  •  Statues removed included a memorial to Supreme Court Justice Roger B. Taney, Confederate Generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson.
  • Black Mayor Catherine Pugh told the Baltimore Sun. “They needed to come down”

( Breitbart ) In a stealth purging of history, the city of Baltimore removed four Confederate statues from city property under cover of night early Tuesday morning.

City crews began the destruction of the monuments just before midnight and finished by 5:30 a.m., the Hill reported.

The city council quietly approved the removal late on Monday in a unanimous vote.

“It’s done,” Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh told the Baltimore Sun. “They needed to come down. My concern is for the safety and security of our people. We moved as quickly as we could.”

“I did not want to endanger people in my own city,” the African American mayor said. “I had begun discussions with contractors and so forth about how long it would take to remove them. I am a responsible person, so we moved as quickly as we could. ”

The statues removed included a memorial to Supreme Court Justice Roger B. Taney as well as Confederate Generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson.

Also eliminated in the middle of the night were monuments to Confederate soldiers and sailors and the Confederate Women’s monument.
