BAXLEY, Ga. – Police are hoping surveillance video that captured a violent attack will help them find the people responsible.
Video obtained by Channel 2 Action News shows a restaurant owner and her teenage daughter beaten by two customers. It happened Thursday afternoon in Baxley, Georgia.
The victims told police the suspects were unhappy with their order. The verbal argument turned violent when one of the suspects began punching the restaurant owner repeatedly.
When the victim’s teenage daughter came out of the car to break up the fight, the male suspect punched her in the face.
Baxley police have issued warrants for the suspects, Nathaniel Smith and Latasha Smith, according to our ABC affiliate in Savannah WJCL. The pair could be charged with aggravated battery and cruelty to children.
The suspects drove away from the restaurant in a cream or tan Cadillac Escalade with tag number REU8495. Officials say they headed north on Highway 144.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the Baxley Police Department at 912-367-8305 or the 911 call center at 912-367-8111
LOONY! CALIFORNIA BANS TRAVEL TO EIGHT STATES OVER ‘LGBT DISCRIMINATION’ – BUT HOMOPHOBE MUSLIM COUNTRIES ARE OK!
What a loony state! California went nuts when Trump announced Muslim travel ban from several terror-linked Muslim countries. Now the left-wing state bans publicly funded travel to eight states over alleged LGBT discrimination. But California is ok with Muslims who believe it’s ok to kill gays because that’s what Islam says.
The eight states: Texas, Alabama, Kentucky , South Dakota, Kansas, Mississippi, North Carolina and Tennessee
California is restricting publicly funded travel to four more states because of recent laws that leaders here view as discriminatory against gay and transgender people.
All totaled, California now bans most state-funded travel to eight states.
The new additions to California’s restricted travel list are Texas, Alabama, Kentucky and South Dakota.
They join Kansas, Mississippi, North Carolina and Tennessee as states already subjected to the ban.
California Attorney Xavier Becerra announced the new states at a Thursday press conference, where he was joined by representatives from ACLU Northern California and Equality California.
“We will not spend taxpayer dollars in states that discriminate,” Becerra said.
California’s Legislature last year voted to restrict state-funded travel to states with laws that allow businesses to deny services to gay and transgender people.
( Daily Mail ) Donald Trump turned his first ever Congressional Picnic into a family fair on Thursday evening, with the President, his wife Melania and daughter Ivanka all letting their hair down for a night of celebration.
Photographs from White House’s South Lawn showed Melania kissing babies as she and her husband mingled with people in attendance.
Meanwhile, Ivanka played with her daughter, Arabella, in the Rose Garden.
Melania was wearing a $2,255 Mary Katrantzou ‘osmond grid’ print dress on the night.
The president also shook hands on the lawn, which had been decorated to look like Manhattan’s Central Park – apparently in tribute to the New Yorker who now spends his weekdays at the White House.
Earlier, Trump used his short speech at the event to call on Republicans and Democrats to come together during a short speech at the Congressional Picnic in Washington.
The president opened his brief remarks by saying his ‘thoughts and prayers’ are with congressman Steve Scalise, who was wounded after being shot during a practice session ahead of the Congressional Baseball game earlier this month.
‘We are so touched that joining us here this evening are Steve and Jennifer’s children… in fact, we just gave them a beautiful tour of the White House. They got the A-tour,’ he continued.
JOHNNY DEPP ON TRUMP ASSASSINATION: “When was the last time an actor assassinated a president? Maybe it’s time”
- Johnny Depp: “When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?..it has been a while and maybe it is time”
Another unhinge face of Hollywood left! Actor Johnny Depp called for the assassination of President Donald Trump at a Q & A at the Glastonbury Festival in England on Thursday, reported the Guardian.
“It is just a question – I’m not insinuating anything. By the way, this is going to be in the press. It will be horrible. I like that you are all a part of it.
“When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?” he asked in reference to the death of Abraham Lincoln by John Wilkes Booth in 1865.
“I want to qualify, I am not an actor. I lie for a living. However, it has been a while and maybe it is time,” he added.
Leaker and former FBI director James Comey visited New York Times building and was there for three hours together with his wife. New stash of leaks to dump, eh Comey?
But New York Times Company spokeswoman insist Comey did not visit the paper’s newsroom.
The Daily Mail reports:
Former FBI director James Comey made a quiet visit to The New York Times on Thursday, one of few public outings since he admitted leaking stories to the newspaper about President Trump before the Senate Intelligence Committee on June 8.
Comey kept his sunglasses on and his gaze forward as he marched through the front entrance of the Times Square office building which houses the publication. He was accompanied by his wife Patrice Failor who also wore sunglasses.
Unmistakable as he towered over the crowds in a crisp navy suit and tie on one of the warmest days of the year, Comey drew second-glances from some stunned by-passers
- Pastor Shahram Hadian: “The next time I give a presentation, if someone gets offended, are they going to report me?..Obviously it’s moving toward Shariah compliance. This is what Europe has done.”
- Hadian said the Minneapolis officials will seek to target Christians with the new snitch line.
The city, which will operate the “service” through its 3-1-1 helpline, is targeting any “harassing behaviors motivated by prejudice,” according to a press release. Those wishing to report a hate crime from outside the city may dial 612-673-3000.
According to the local newspaper, the Star-Tribune, “the announcement comes amid signs of a recent surge of such incidents affecting Muslims and Jews across the country, many of which go unreported.”
The city’s Department of Civil Rights clearly states on its website that it only enforces hate crimes against certain “protected classes.”
A city official further indicated the impetus for the hate-crimes hotline was the election of President Trump and that the targets would be his supporters.
“Since the general election, many of us have experienced, witnessed firsthand or heard of actions of: racism, xenophobia, sexism and bigotry directed at people here and in cities across the United States,” Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights Director Velma Korbel wrote in a statement posted on the city’s website. “In no uncertain terms, hate-motivated speech and actions have no place in Minneapolis nor will they be tolerated.”
….Shahram Hadian, whose family fled Iran in the run-up to the Islamic revolution in 1978, said he was aghast at the Minneapolis hotline.
“This is ultimately what they got passed up in Canada. But this is the backdoor approach to eventually setting up hate speech laws … hate crimes morph into hate speech,” said Hadian, a former law enforcement officer turned pastor who heads Truth In Love Ministries.
Hadian said he has no doubt that the Minneapolis officials will seek to target Christians with the new snitch line.
“Obviously it’s moving toward Shariah compliance. This is what Europe has done,” he said. “You have people arrested there, various examples of it, and charged with crimes for something they said about Islam. So this is a back-door attempt to get hate speech laws on the books and to create the environment of normalcy where you’re going to see Christians turned in to the government because we are either speaking about Christianity or because we’re speaking factually about Islam.
“It’s a violation of our fundamental rights under the First Amendment. That’s chilling, and it’s so disturbing and underhanded what they’re doing, to say, ‘Let’s start turning people in whom we don’t agree with.’”
Hadian said the hotline will have a chilling effect on pastors and lecturers in Minnesota.
“So what, the next time I give a presentation, if someone gets offended, are they going to report me?” he said. “That’s where we’re headed with this.”
Outside of Minneapolis-St. Paul and Duluth, every county in Minnesota voted for Trump in the November general election.
The bullet was fired from a McMillan TAC-50 rifle set on a high-rise tower and took 10 seconds to travel the 2.14 miles towards the fighter, who was attacking Iraqi soldiers.
This smashed the last record set by a Briton Craig Harrison, who killed a Taliban soldier with a 338 Lapua Magnum rifle at a range of 8,120 feet(1.54 miles) in 2009
A military source told The Globe and Mail the kill was verified by video, adding: ‘This is an incredible feat. It is a world record that might never be equalled.’
The third longest kill was by Canadian Corporal Rob Furlong, who shot down an Afghan insurgent from 7,972 feet(1.51 miles) in 2002 during Operation Anaconda.
And prior to that, Master Corporal Arron Perry hit a terrorist from 7579 feet. He was also Canadian and serving in the same operation.
The longest kill from a US sniper was done by sergeant Bryan Kremer, who hit an Iraqi insurgent at 7,546 feet(1.42 miles) with his Barrett M82A1 rifle in 2004.
The Canadian who achieved the longest kill was operating with Joint Task Force 2, which is training Kurdish forces to fight IS.
The outstanding accuracy of the Tac-50 makes it the choice long-range weapon of the Canadian Army since 2000
