Trump heads to Camp David for the first time

President Donald Trump’s first trip to Camp David with Melania, Barron and the in-laws.

From Daily Mail:

Nearly five months into his presidency, Trump flew to Camp David, the government-owned retreat in Maryland’s Catoctin Mountains, for the very first time.

Trump waved to photographers as he departed the White House in a navy suit, while Melania donned a $1,795 belted white shirt dress. Their son Barron Trump showed off Arsenal Football Club shorts and matching red knee-high socks.

Trump’s in-laws, Viktor and Amalija Knavs, joined the president for the overnight at Camp David after they accompanied Melania and Barron on their official move to the White House. It remains unclear whether the Knavs will live there full time.

Trump has favored his palatial residences in Florida and New Jersey over the wooded hideaway used by many presidents before him.

He told foreign newspapers earlier this year that Camp David was ‘very rustic’ and said: ‘You know how long you’d like it? For about 30 minutes.’

Trump is scheduled to return to the White House on Sunday.

Ivanka Trump kicked off the week with a rare television interview, sitting down with the hosts of ‘Fox & Friends’ to rave about the work her father’s administration is doing, dismiss his detractors and bemoan her new job working in the swamp.

It was a surprisingly blunt and candid chat, with Ivanka being asked at one point by host Brian Kilmeade if her new role as President Trump’s assistant was harder than she thought it would be at first.

‘It is hard. And there is a level of viciousness that I was not expecting,’ said Ivanka.

‘I was not expecting the intensity of this experience, but this isn’t supposed to be easy. My father’s administration intends to be transformative, and we want to do big, bold things. We’re looking to change the status quo.’

She then went on to say: ‘So, I didn’t expect it to be easy. I think some of the distractions and some of the ferocity I was a little blind-sided by on a personal level.’

Ivanka explained that those ‘real challenges’ put things in perspective for her, and said that she has been enjoying the optimism she is seeing in people across the country as a result of her father’s work as president.

‘They see the economy and it’s just booming. Small businesses have this sense of just vigor and, you know, I was talking with somebody the other day who was referring to it as the animal spirit,’ said Ivanka.

‘Small business owner has been released. So there is a tremendous energy but there is also real challenges. And that’s what we’re looking to address.’

For her appearance, Ivanka wore the same exact look she busted out back in July at the republican National Convention, pairing a $3,000 Alexander McQueen box-pleat sheath with $900 white agate drop earrings with diamond from her namesake jewelry collection.

She changed things up a bit by wearing a pair of her $120 Ivanka Trump suede heels in nude and a $2,200 mother of pearl ring with diamonds, also from her defunct high-end jewelry line.

First Lady Melania Trump chose  a blush-toned slinky gown by Filipino designer Monique Lhuillier during Ford’s Theatre Gala in Washington, D.C. Sunday.

This is an encouraging sight for the Filipino people who are currently waging war against ISIS in Mindanao.

From Breitbart:

Eyewitnesses from the besieged city of Marawi have described how Islamic State terrorists have recruited children as young as 13 years old to carry out executions, as previously reported by Breitbart News’s Frances Martel.

Last month, terrorist fighters from the ISIS-affiliated Maute group freed roughly 100 terrorists from Mindanao prisons before raising the Islamic State flag over the city. Philippines president Rodrigo Duterte — who resides on the island of Mindanao, where Marawi is located — has declared a 60-day period of martial law in response to the ongoing crisis.

Melania and Donald Trump held hands as they arrived at the Ancient Theatre of Taormina for a concert by the La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra on Friday evening, alongside President Trump's fellow G7 leaders and their partners

( Daily Mail ) It is the final day of Donald and Melania Trump’s first official tour as President and First Lady, and it looks like 47-year-old Melania is eager to go out with a sartorial bang.

After having made a chic arrival in Sicily, where her husband is attending a G7 summit, Melania stepped out Friday morning in the coastal down of Catania, making a very stylish statement in a $51,500 coat by Dolce & Gabanna, which was covered with colorful 3-D flower embellishments – and came complete with a matching $1,630 purse by the Italian luxury label.

However, the First Lady traded the statement coat for a shimmery silver dress and equally sparkly shoes by Dolce & Gabanna to attend a concert by the La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra at the ancient Greek Theatre of Taormina with her husband, President Trump, on Friday evening.
