( Mediaite ) Late on Wednesday, Anthony Scaramucci tweeted that he “will be contacting the FBI and DOJ” after Politico obtained his financial disclosure that revealed he was still profiting from his investment firm Skybridge Capital.
In the tweet, he attached White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, which led many on Twitter to assume that he was pinning the leak onto him.
However, after midnight on Wednesday, Scaramucci deleted the tweet and posted this:
It appears that he was dismissing the report that he went right to the FBI asking them to investigate Priebus and added that the initial tweet was a “public notice to leakers” that all senior officials are helping to end the leaks.
Meanwhile, The New York Times reported that his disclosure has been made public since July 23rd.
