- Bernie Sanders: “I’m a candidate for the President of the United States, Donald Trump’s campaign manager and vice chairman of the Republican party of Vermont launched this investigation”
So testy! Bernie and Jane Sanders are under FBI investigation for suspicion of $10 million bank fraud that resulted to bankruptcy and permanent shut down of tiny Burlington College.
During CNN interview with Erin Burnett, the anti-greed millionaire got testy when asked if his wife is under FBI investigation. He also blamed Donald Trump
Erin Burnett: “We understand your wife has hired a lawyer to represent her in a possible probe in a land deal that fell apart; this was back when she was president of Burlington College…”
Erin Burnett: “I just want to ask you, do you know she’s under FBI investigation?”
Sanders: “Excuse me! My wife is about the most honest person I know. When she came to that college, it was failing financially, academically. When she left it, it was in better shape than it had ever been.
Five years later just at the moment coincidentally no doubt when I’m a candidate for the President of the United States, Donald Trump’s campaign manager and vice chairman of the Republican party of Vermont launched this investigation.”
Sanders continued to play the victim, claiming to ‘go after people’s wives is pathetic’.
Burnett press Bernie Sanders AGAIN asking him if his wife is indeed under FBI investigation and he refused to answer her and again played victim.
Jane Sanders is former President of Burlington College, which became bankrupt and got shut down thanks to huge bank loan she took for the college hoping donors and increase number of students will pay for the $10 million debt. She’s accused of distorting donor levels in a 2010 loan application for $10 million from People’s United Bank to purchase 33 acres of land for the school. According to Politico, prosecutors might also be looking into allegations that Sen. Sanders’ office inappropriately urged the bank to approve the loan.
Jane Sanders also collected approximately a $200,000 severance package. after she resigned from the college.
