Johnny Depp talks about assassinating Trump at Glastonbury

  • Johnny Depp:  “When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?..it has been a while and maybe it is time”

Another unhinge face of Hollywood left! Actor Johnny Depp called for the assassination of President Donald Trump at a Q & A at the Glastonbury Festival in England on Thursday, reported the Guardian.

Reported the Guardian:

“It is just a question – I’m not insinuating anything. By the way, this is going to be in the press. It will be horrible. I like that you are all a part of it.

“When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?” he asked in reference to the death of Abraham Lincoln by John Wilkes Booth in 1865.

“I want to qualify, I am not an actor. I lie for a living. However, it has been a while and maybe it is time,” he added.

I enjoy Mr. Depp as an actor. This statement is beyond all decency. I read in other speculative articles Mr. Depp may be suffering a ‘breakdown’ (of his mental stability, I gather). I hope he gets help and recovers from the rather sad condition he displays.

I am not suggesting he needs to become a fervent conservative and love President Trump. However, he really needs to understand President Trump is in fact the lawful and real President of the United States. “Joking” about killing the President is not funny or even decent. It makes him sound like many of the other mindless nits in the ‘entertainment industry’.

In answer to his question: The last time an actor murdered a President was John Wilkes Booth who murdered President Abraham Lincoln. Of course, President Lincoln was a Republican, so Booth may be considered a hero by the Democrat Continuum. (At the time, the Democrat Continuum was the party of the South as history shows. They still have the same underlying principles.)

I would caution Mr. Depp about this precedent. Mr. Booth was considered a rather mediocre actor at the time of his act. Neither his reputation nor career was enhanced by his reprehensible act. Keep that in mind.
