What the critics say about FBI Director James Comey getting fired:

Joe DiGenova: James Comey was “out of control” and “so self-centered and full of himself,” “acted like he was the attorney general

Joe DiGenova, the former U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, said FBI Director James Comey deserved to be terminated. Comey was “out of control” and “so self-centered and full of himself” in the way he conducted his duties.

Last week, DiGenova told Tucker Carlson that Comey is “a danger to the country.”

He said Tuesday on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” that in the Hillary Clinton email investigation, Comey “acted like he was the attorney general”

Judge Andrew Napolitano: Comey demeaned “undermined the integrity” of the office.

“You don’t make a recommendation to the attorney general in public,” he said, referencing last July’s announcement that Comey concluded that Clinton had not broken any laws.

Napolitano said Comey “demeaned” the work of rank-and-file justice department employees and said he “undermined the integrity” of the office.

Sean Hannity: James Comey a “national embarrassment”

James Comey a “national embarrassment” for his handling of the Clinton email investigation.

“At every single turn, the FBI director disrespected the Constitution,” he said. “Comey has failed you, the American people, on a spectacular level.”

He said Comey oversaw a “two-tiered” justice system that placed the Clinton family on one level and everyone else on another.

“[He] should be ashamed of himself,” Hannity said, adding that Comey has no respect for the equal application of the rule of law.
