( DAILY MAIL ) Donald Trump arrived in Alabama, on the last stop of his ‘Thank You’ tour on Saturday afternoon, where the president-elect won in a landslide over opponent Hillary Clinton. Trump was greeted by a number of high school girls known as the Azalea Trail Maids, who are chosen every year to serve as ambassadors for Mobile in their pastel antebellum outfits.
He headed onto the stage in front of a cheering audience and almost immediately took aim at Boeing and the Air Force One contract. He said: ‘We’re not going to spend $4.2billion on Air Force One. Boeing is going to do a much less expensive plane than that.’ As the crowd chanted ‘build that wall’, he turned around and said: ‘We will build that wall, and we will rebuild our depleted military’. The billionaire then invited Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions, his pick for attorney general, onto the platform and thanked him for being his first big endorsement of the campaign.
